Tiger Woods won't be playing in the U.S Open this year due to lingering left leg injuries. I'm not a Woods fan, but I don't want to see him struggling with his health. At 35 he should be right in the prime of his golfing career, and it's a shame he can't compete right now.
Had Woods played, I don't think he would have contended anyways. His game is a mess with only the occasional flash of his former self. He needs to get his health 100% before returning. So let's move on from Woods to the top U.S Open contenders that are competing and looking to add the coveted major title to their resume. This year's tournament is being held at the 7500+ yards Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland.
